Shut up!

Sometimes my world is just so LOUD! I want everything to just GO AWAY! I want everything to GO AWAY! Stop shouting... Stop arguing... Stop everything!

Abandon ship!

How curious... everyone seems to be abandoning ship. I must look like a dumb fool for staying on silently.

Against my impulses, I am not abandoning yet. I do not want to be left fighting to stay afloat. I shall wait till I see land... or, at least, another ship... before I leave.

Flower / Weed

I often tell myself that I am not a flower in the greenhouse. I was made a weed so that I can be strong... so that I may withstand a lot of trampling (and withstood them, I have!) and still survive, and grow, and reach for the sun... dream of the sun.

I may be a little weed now with nothing to shout about. But, if I am a weed, I shall strive to be a creeper that is so strong only the most vile weed-killer can extinguish completely. Let me be a creeper that extends itself and is forever searching for a better place to grow. When I find a pole or a tree or anything vertical, I shall use all my strength... my entire being... to cling and strive higher and higher towards the sun, even if I get scorched and get plucked off on the way.

Flowers in greenhouses get abundant sunshine... amplified sunshine at their disposal. I look upon the sun with envy and hope. I know unlike the flowers, I shall have to get my share of the sun myself. However, unlike them, I shall get to determine what is "my share"of the sun.

Oh! If I can but find the tallest pole or tree or wall to climb, I shall use my all to bask in the glory of the sun! I shall make my share equal, if not more admirable, than that of pretty flowers out there. The difference is... I shall worship the sun and appreciate my place in the sun much much more than they, for I would have won it with more blood, sweat, toil and tears...
